Prior to opening Ed Barrett Realtors in 1987, I was a top-producer and officer manager for RE/MAX Realtors, as well as for 4 other companies. I also wrote a real estate column for a major San Antonio newspaper, and have conducted numerous seminars on real estate for the public and also for other realtors.
My wife (Doreene) and I have been married for 25 years and between us have 5 sons and 7 grandchildren with one on the way. We like to travel, do a lot of antique shopping, auctions and estate sales.
When not involved in real estate, traveling or rummagaing through shops, I like to write, having published one novel (Psychic Rhymes - go to Amazon.com for information) 2 magazine cover page articles and 19 short stories.
